At August Maine Coons, our cats are family first. While many of our adults thrive in the busy rhythm of a cattery—shows, kittens, routines—not every cat is meant for that lifestyle. Some prefer a quieter home, more one-on-one attention, and a place where they can be the center of someone’s world.
For that reason, we occasionally retire an adult from our program and lovingly place them in an approved pet home. These cats have been part of our daily lives, raised with care, and come with wonderful manners and affectionate personalities. Retiring them allows them to enjoy the devoted companionship and relaxed environment they truly deserve.

How to Reserve your August Maine Coon Kitten
Please note: Only approved applicants may reserve kittens. If you’re interested in adopting a Maine Coon kitten in Kansas, Missouri, or surrounding states, now or in the future, please complete an application to get started.

Show Up On Reservation Day
Each kitten will be released on a set date and time, which will be listed on their specific pages.
